Meadow Brook Theatre presents:  "Ella, First Lady of Song"

This show traces the 60 year career of Ella Fitzgerald, the woman Mel Torme called "the best singer on the planet".  "First lady of Song" is not the only nickname this legendary jazz singer had.  Others were:  Queen of Jazz and Lady Ella.  From the Apollo Theatre to the Cote D'Azur, this jazz musical covers Ms. Fitzgerald's hardscrabble childhood to her enduring legacy in the music world and beyond.  Songs include classics such as "Sweet Georgia Brown" and "It Don't Mean a Thing (If it ain't got that Swing)".

We will enjoy lunch prior to the show at Lelli's.  Meal choices are:  Veal Picatta, Chicken Marsala or Shrimp Lelli.
