A FALL DELIGHT! FUN-FILLED MUSICAL—“SOME LIKE IT HOT”— At THE FISHER THEATRE and LUNCH at THE PINK HOUSE TEA ROOM - Saturday, October 12, 2024.  We’re pretty sure you will find today’s trip to be a most “delightful” experience. “Some Like It Hot” is set in Chicago when Prohibition has everyone thirsty for a little excitement. It’s the story of two musicians forced to flee the Windy City after witnessing a mob hit. With gangsters hot on their heels, they catch a cross-country train for the life-changing trip of a lifetime. The show has an irresistible combination of heart and laughs, song and dance. One critic called the play “A tap-dancing, razzle-dazzling embrace of everything people love about musical theatre”.  You may recall the movie version starring Tony Curtis, Jack Lemon and Marilyn Monroe. Seating for this performance is in the Loge. 

Prior to the performance, we’ll dine at The Pink House Tea Room, an historic waterside eatery that has a lovely interior (we’ve never been here in the past).  Choose entrée at time of reservation: Quiche (there will be several from which to choose), Artichoke Frittata (gluten free) or Chicken Salad. All come with a side salad, scones, and beverage.  

ALL BAGS WILL BE SEARCHED PRIOR ENTERING THE THEATRE.

Guests are allowed to bring a small purse or personal bag with them to the performance. We defer to our security and front-of-house staff to determine what is a reasonable size for the performance you are attending.  If your purse or bag will not fit easily in your lap or next to you on the floor between you and another patron, it is too large to bring to the theatre. Backpacks, suit cases, and other large containers are prohibited.

PLEASE NOTE 2 THINGS:  One, seating for this trip is limited.   Two, we need to pay for play tickets by August 28, and, once tickets are purchased, we will not be able to obtain any additional tickets. 

Trip leaves from Walmart in Chesterfield.  Depart: 10:30 a.m. Cost:  $145 Approximate return: 5:15 p.m.
