Today we'll visit two of Grand Rapids' best attractions - the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park and the President Gerald Ford Museum.  And, we're in luck as both are featuring special exhibits during the time of our visit.  First, we'll visit the Gardens & Sculpture Park, named the "Best Sculpture Park in the USA" by readers of USA Today for the past three years.  Visit includes a narrated tram ride through the gardens and sculpture park, a timed ticket to see the special indoor exhibit "Chihuly at Meijer Gardens",  and lunch.   The Chihuly presentation transforms both the indoor galleries and outdoor gardens into a dynamic showcase of the glass artist's range and creativity, and highlights more than four decades of Dale Chihuly's artistic evolution.  In the afternoon, we'll visit the Ford Museum, at which time we'll have the opportunity to expolore the lives and careers of America's 38th President-Gerald R. Ford-and First Lady-Betty Ford.  Museum features a full-scale replica of the Oval Office furnished as it was during Ford's presidency, burial sites of both President Ford and his wife Betty, and a section of the Berlin Wall.  The special exhibit, "Waltzing with the Queen", details Queen Elizabeth II's historic visit to the US to commemorate America's Bicentennial in 1976.

Bus departs from John Armstrong Performing Arts Center back parking lot at 7:30 am.

Approximate return time:  6:30 pm

• No refunds will be issued for trips and tours, unless there is a waitlist and someone is able to fill your spot.

A $7.00 service fee per person, per trip will be deducted from all refunds.

If a trip is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund in the same payment method used to register for the trip (credit card or check). Payments made with cash or check will be refunded with a check.
