Swim practices will be designed for any swimmers 6 years or older with competitive or limited competitive experience. We will be concentrating on improving technique and endurance for the next swim season. We will also be incorporating dry land training (strength training) into the workouts. Swim and pool schedules are subject to change due to weather, mechanical/operational issues and/or school events. Please bring drinking water in plastic containers only. Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). Bring a snack (pen and paper for notes optional). Please note that students must arrive on time to be certified, so please arrive early. Parents, this class is for students who are independent and responsible enough to be responsible for the safety and well-being of younger children without adult supervision. Please check in your student at the beginning of class. Drop off and pick up is in the classroom. This class sometimes ends late, approximately 10 minutes. Join us for Coffee and donuts at the DSO. Gather the family for one of the best holiday traditions in Detroit! The DSO and special guests play all your favorites inside warm and wonderful Orchestra Hall. Make the season bright and create memories of a lifetime everyone can share. The bus will leave from the Walmart Parking lot promptly at 9:15 am and take you to the DSO, where you will enjoy coffee and donuts before the show. No refunds will be issued for trips and tours, unless there is a waitlist and someone is able to fill your spot. A $7.00 service fee per person, per trip will be deducted from all refunds. This 20/20/20 class is designed to give you RESULTS!! A total body workout. 20 minutes of cardio, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of stretching and core work. Please bring a mat and free weights to class. No refunds will be issued after the second class session meets, regardless of reason. No prorated refunds will be issued for missed class sessions.
