  • L'Anse Creuse Wrestling - Youth & Middle School Programs

    L’Anse Creuse Youth Wrestling Club and Middle School Wrestling Club, Inc. is a youth-based organization that teaches fundamental wrestling skills to boys and girls enrolled in the L’Anse Creuse District between 4 and 17 years old (Pre K through 12th Grade). Our mission is to teach wrestling skills and develop a passion for this great sport. Our focus will be to develop each young wrestler’s potential in a competitive and fun environment. The coaching staff will emphasize life lessons through the importance of teamwork, courage, honesty, respect, integrity, preparation, perseverance and above all, FUN! Middle School Practice Information All practices will be held in the Wrestling Room at L'Anse Creuse High School North, 23700 21 Mile Rd, Macomb MI 48042. Practices: Tues, Wed, Thurs 7:15 - 8:45 pm Please note that times may change based on club size and availability of coaches. However, when changes are absolutely necessary, those changes we will be communicated in advance. MYWAY is a state-wide organization divided into 8 regions; we are in the Metro region. MYWAY runs local tournaments almost every Sunday from December through March with a regional championship mid-March and state championship near the end of March. COMPETING IN TOURNAMENTS IS OPTIONAL and incurs an additional cost of approximately $15 per tournament. Wrestlers are grouped together by age, weight and experience. Youth Wrestling Practice Information Wrestlers will be assigned to a group based on age and experience. All groups and practices will be held in the Wrestling Room at L'Anse Creuse High School North, 23700 21 Mile Rd, Macomb MI 48042. Practice days and times: Group 1: Novice (1/2 year experience) Monday - Wednesday 6:15 - 7:30 pm Group 2: Intermediate Group Tuesday and Thursday 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm Group 3: Advanced Middle School Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7:15 pm - 8:45 pm Please note that times may change based on club size and availability of coaches.   • LC United Competitive Cheer - North

    Open to 6th - 8th grade. The goal of this club is to send each athlete to the next level of cheer by encouraging and supporting them to be better, on and off the mat, building cheer-related skills, as well as building strong, well-rounded individuals. Through the sport of cheerleading, we hope to build character in each athlete by setting high standards, holding athletes accountable, as well as teaching and encouraging self-discipline and personal goal setting. Participation in five competitive meets is planned. Practices will start on November 11th at Carkenord in the gymnasium. Practices will be Mon & Wed 5:30 to 8:30 pm, and Fri 5 - 6:30 pm. Season ends on February 8th. A current sports physical (dated after April 15, 2024) must be submitted by the 1st practice. No refunds will be issued after the second class session meets, regardless of reason. Partial refunds available based on date of cancelation. A $7.00 service fee per person, per class will be deducted from all requested refunds for classes. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund in the same payment method used to register for the class (credit card or check). Payments made with cash will be refunded with a check.
