  • Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid & Safe Home Alone

    Course Description: Learn to be safe and responsible. Build confidence. Have a competitive edge over other babysitters. One-day class. Topics include first aid, when and how to call 911, CPR with manikin practice, choking, and more! Students will also learn how to be safe and responsible when home alone, including what to do if somebody comes to the door and the importance of not giving out personal information. Students who successfully complete the course requirements will receive a certificate of completion for Certified Babysitter/CPR/First Aid course by Live Safe Academy (valid for two years). To be certified students must participate in the entire course from beginning to end and successfully complete all skills, which requires full motor function of all four extremities. No refunds or credit with less than 24-hour notice. If you need a medical exception, email Live Safe Academy at info@LiveSafeAcademy.com before class. Bring a snack, pen and paper for notes is optional. No cell phone use during class except during break. We will be seated IN THE SHADE in Section 113; Rows 42 & 43 for the 1:10 game. Lunch is on your own so you can enjoy the varied choices at Comerica Park. There is some walking to and from the park (about 1-2 city blocks), but we will be dropped off and picked up as close as we can possibly get! Following the lunch we will head to The War Memorial which is situated on the grounds of the historic Alger Estate in Grosse Point Farms. The grounds of the War Memorial are filled with inspiration, serves over 250,000 individuals annually and proves to be a unique dynamic and thought-provoking hub for Southeast Michigan.
